"I think it would be very glamorous to be reincarnated as a great big ring on Liz Taylor's finger."
-- andy warhol
during the holidays, there is nothing i love more than a can of soup, a polaroid camera, arresting art, a handful of sedatives, cat muses, and a silver wig. therefore, andy warhol is this year's WHORANGE holiday muse.
of course, every muse deserves a gift. however, since my budget will not coax one of liz's rings off her fingers, i'm offering andy practical picks such as a USB comb, crayon rings, and a clock to monitor his subjects' 15 minutes.
i also threw in a paint-by-numbers kit, because as you may or may not know, andy loved his DIY numbers art as seen here...

i hope andy enjoys his handpicked holiday booty. if not, he can always re-gift it to david bowie.

Great gift guide! Such a unique theme, and I love the items you chose. Warhol would have loved Jonathan Adler I think!

I was just thinking the other day about a documentary about his warehouse. Boxes and boxes of ceramic cookie jars, paint by numbers and everything else imaginable. Today he would be on that TV show "hoarders". There was an artist on there this week. made me nervous. I put a padlock on my own mini-warehouse that is in the barn : )

i feel compelled to comment that andy actually hated diana cameras, he felt they were stuffy, old fashioned, and not at all avant-garde.
but these are fantastic choices! everyone should have a little warhol at christmastime!
