this week, a cute custom clog shoppe just opened up across the street from my work and my boss, schuyler, couldn't resist picking up this braided, orange, patent pair.
you can pick your heel height, shoe style (lots), color (tons), and material. the shoppe does not have a website (yet), but if you're in LA, the address is:
150 north sweetzer avenue
los angeles, CA 90048
ph: (323) 658-1452
look for the "custom clogs" sign!
xoxo
sorry i was missing in action yesterday, darlings. i've been feeling a little under the weather. therefore, i'm setting my hair in foam rollers, chilling the eye mask, and signing off until tomorrow.
just remember: an apple a day keeps the team of nurses away.

mercy!
on sunday night, the sparkle fairy blessed us with the season 5 premiere of mad men -- a new apartment, a new vibe, a new mrs. draper. and darlings, this mrs. draper isn't wasting away on her fainting couch. instead, this one shimmies, shakes and sings. and she does it with tremendious style.
mrs. megan, we salute you!
within a matter of minutes, you turned "zou bisou bisou" into the mating call across the land.

can you feel it?

i like to match my crockery to my shoes.
{dansk crockery via helen dardik; finsk project shoes available at solestruck.)
kittens, i am giddy to announce that the project i was working on back in december has officially hit the stands. check it out in this month's vogue!
no, that's not me on the cover (although many people have mistaken me for adele...in my dreams); instead, i was working on an interior design feature for model carolyn murphy's los angeles home. and, by "working on," i mean i assisted my boss, interior designer schuyler samperton, who styled the shoot.
i should also mention, schuyler didn't just style the shoot, she designed carolyn's entire home. schuyler and carolyn have worked together on a few homes and their styles are the perfect pairing. the result -- a truly gorgeous mix of rich, bohemian textures, vintage furnishings, unique pieces, and a laid back, yet glamorous vibe.
pure schuyler. pure carolyn. in other words...pretty as a picture from floor-to-celing and head-to-toe.

{above: quite possibly my favorite room -- the art studio. it's a converted garage with exposed walls and a concrete floor. all of the furniture and accessories have a unique history ranging from carolyn's own well-worn bridles and riding hat to turn-of-the-century sculpture stands from an art school in paris.}
here is a semi-breakdown...

and finally, this may be the closest i'll ever come to my hero, vogue's creative director grace coddington. so, please allow me to take this moment to humbly say, "oh. my. god."
