darlings, i'm back!
new orleans was hot and sticky, boozy and tasty, and filled with haute spirits and nonstop dancin'. every day, i strolled through afternoon thunderstorms, cruised the french quarter for fresh pralines, and shimmied with the bands on frenchmen street.
and my brother travis got married!
if you've never been, you've got to go. give NOLA your loving support. it's a beautiful city.
see more of my new orleans adventures on instagram (and, yes...it includes an alligator!).

{images from top to bottom: chez bourbon; pirate alley; dancing the second line at my brother's wedding; trashy diva clothing; jazz bistro; walking on royal street in the rain.}

kittens, i'm packing my parasol and cha cha heels and heading to new orleans! i'll be back early next week.
hopefully, i'll be able to squeeze in a little WHORANGE time. if not, please join me on instgram where i'll be chronicalling my journeys through the french quarter and swanky swamps.
big hugs and happy lovin'. i miss you already!
xoxo

these colorful honeycombs are the winning design entry for a low-income housing project along the izola bay in slovenia. the clever design also provides solar shading and natural ventelation.
of course, i want 1st dibs on an orange one.
see more photos and read all about the project at house variety and inhabitat.

today marks 3 glorious years of being mr. & mrs. with steve -- my bestest friend, handsome target of my affections, and grand master of everything groovy.
happy anniversary, steve! thank you for being my happy place.

brooklyn-based artist, shantell martin, turned her apartment walls into a floor-to-celing canvas. according to her friend, shantell cannot stop. she'll draw on everything from dinner napkins, to hands, to discarded bottles on the street.
OCD art. addictive indeed!
