i would love to sleep with people to get pretty furniture, chandeliers and stuff. when you find this person, please pass the name on to me- i need a new rug for my dining room, and i'm a little horny. win-win!
Well, when I blogged about an Urban Outfitters item awhile back (Urban and Anthro share the same owner -- Richard Hayne), I was alerted by various readers and emails that Richard Hayne was homophobic and gave money to politicians and groups that are anti-gay. strange, i know, considering the urban branding of each store.
Afterward, I mentioned this controversy to some of my friends and they were shocked that I didn't already know. Guess it's somewhat common knowledge? Supposedly, Richard Hayne manages to stay out of the spotlight and doesn't grant interviews because he knows it will hurt his branding.
Granted, I would love more that anything to find out that all of this information is completely false because I love the products at both of these store. Simply love them. But, since I was given this information back in February, I've stopped blogging about their products and shopping at their stores. And believe me, I gave them A LOT of business beforehand.
Again, if anybody has any other info on this, please let me know!
These are made by Roast in a little surburban studio in Herne Hill, London, UK. Our friend bought one for his wife for her birthday (VERY expensive) so maybe you should pursue him!

Thank you, Erika! It doesn't look like they carry it anymore.
That said, I most definitely would not sleep with the owner of Anthropologie. He gives $$ to anti-gay groups. Can't go there, ya know?
Much love to you, Miss Erika!
