if you don't know the cinematic blog orgy i love hot dogs, put it on your list of sites-to-do. i love hot dogs features fabulous film stills from eye-catching indies and musical montages, to oscar-winning classics and x-rated gems.
recently, they paid homage to one of my all time favorite flicks -- midnight cowboy.
jon voight plays joe buck, a bright-eyed, country hooker with a heart-of-gold who moves to the big apple with dreams of earning treasure for giving pleasure. along the way, NYC chews him up and spits him out into the crippled hands of conman ratso rizzo (played superbly by dustin hoffman). bonus: fabulous hair and a late night cameo by warhol's ultraviolet.
final fact...midnight cowboy is the first and only x-rated film to win an academy award for best picture! the year was 1969. oh, how far we have not come.
have a wonderful friday, kittens. happy hustlin'...

i'd like to thank my gal pal lisa for revealing the creator of my coveted deer heels. as it turns out, the designer is jean-charles de castelbajac, who also masterminded lady gaga's kermit cape.
mr. JC/DC debuted his doe-eyed shoes as part of his fall 2010 bambi-motif, ready-to-wear line.
i have to admit, i am really not ready to wear full-blown bambi frocks. however, the antler headdresses and deer heels are calling my name -- the perfect accessories to take me from office to evening!
thanks, JC/DC!

kittens, you are cordially invited to WHORANGE's afternoon tea party! and, as always, (non-political) tea baggers are welcome.
have a seat and help yourself to a cucumber finger sandwich and a slice of spotted dick. also, in honor of earth week, all tableware is 100% repurposed from grandma's attic by designers esther derkx, trixie delicious, and beat up creations. mix and match your favorite picks.
now, let's raise a slutty teacup to a badass, semi-nude, eco-friendly tea party. and, of course...may the force be with you (and your hair)!
{above: esther derkx = semi nude men and scantily clad ladies; trixie delicious = word play and juicy text; beat up creations = star wars portraits.}
