it's that time of the month again, poodles. time for WHORANGE'S monthly pad.
this month's pad comes to us from southridge drive in palm springs. named the elrod house and hailing from the brilliant mind of architect john lautner, this 1968 space age pad features sexy, sectional ceilings and wall-to-wall curves.
as an apprentice to frank lloyd wright, lautner was an astute engineer who incorporated space and nature into his structures. from giant rocks, to exotic woods, to glass walls that opened at the touch of a button, lautner's homes never knew a dull moment.
for example, this fancy pad provided a plushy backdrop for the occasional playboy photo shoot, but mostly infamously it was showcased as bambi and thumper's luscious lair in the james bond film diamonds are forever...
learn more about john lautner and the elrod house here.
in the meantime, please join me, bambi, and thumper for a cup of tea. gymnastics and breast-stroke lessons to follow.

yep, a handful of mad men's mid-century, office furniture (and other goods) are up on the ebay block. so, if you've ever wanted to love upon the same love seat that pete campbell and peggy olsen loved upon, now is your chance. to top it off, a portion of the proceeds benefit the city of hope.
now, let's peruse a few of the mad wares, shall we?
