wayne white is an artist, illustrator, and puppeteer. he's received multiple emmys for his design work on pee wee's playhouse and art directed videos for the smashing pumpkins. needless to say, the man's got quite an eye.
in his "word paintings," white draws inspiration from his southern roots, incorporating 3D text onto vintage landscape reproductions. the result is pretty fanfuckintastic.
by the way, if you can't read backward and twisted text, the top painting says, "buttered up and dumbed down." amen!

Love it love it love it...but I wish he had more than just "You're supposed to act all impressed" for sale! Although that is pretty killer and if I had just a little more space it would work in my kitchen. Boo.

These are absolutely amazing. I want a bunch of them as a gallery on my wall. A girl can dream can't she?

The 3D text he is using is terrific! It adds up a design on his works. I saw his works, most of them are 3D text and it's really interesting. He has some unique ideas in his mind and I admire it.
