for those of you in snuggling up in chilly winter weather, here are a few pops of sunbursts to keep you warm.
which reminds me, i still want this.

in the fairytale world of photographer ulrika kestere, a terrible storm and an ill-fated clothesline result in seven fabricated horses discovered one-by-one around the world.
see ulrika's entire series "the girl with seven horses #7" and read the story behind the images on her blog.

kittens, last night i wrapped myself in faux fur and boogied on down to the eleven club in west hollywood for the premiere party of rupaul's drag race, season 4.
ballgowns, bouffants, and bustlines were on fabulous display. styles ranged from harajuku cabaret to barely-there bodysuits. cameras clicked, flashes popped, and glitter flew.
i happily landed on the pink carpet with season 3 winner - raja! the reigning queen wore a stunning tangerine gown, sparkling jewels, and a flawless face. raja truly embodies the art of drag and it was an honor to stand alongside her majesty.
oh, and she's tall. very tall. granted, i'm super short. we took advantage of our vertical differences and struck this big-sister/little-sister pose.
later, i wept with joy.
{thank you, lina lecaro for inviting me!} {i dedicate this post to thombeau and laine.}
stacking storage with a touch of patti smith. {items: prant boxes; nasum baskets.}
the expedit bookshelf, kassett and flyt magazine files - sittin' pretty.

kittens, it's nearing 50 degrees here in los angeles, which means it's time to break out the socks and call it winter.
however, being the heat-seeking gal that i am, i have my eyes towards the sunshine future, which looks a little something like this summer vacation print by brandi strickland.
let's the sun shine in, darlings! even if it's just in your mind.
