i admit, i never imagined spokane, WA, as the setting of a glorious mid-century home...but here it is -- the ferris house by architect bruce walker.
i especially love the eames-styled colored panels in the backyard. delish, indeed.

these colorful honeycombs are the winning design entry for a low-income housing project along the izola bay in slovenia. the clever design also provides solar shading and natural ventelation.

kittens, apartment therapy's small cool contest is off and running. as always, it's an inspiration to all homes big and small, narrow and wide, tall and short.
i have lots of faves this year, but matt's little 781 sq. foot huston, TX, pad is quite fab with its creative use of "bed in living room," hand-me-down wares, nostalgic pieces, and craigslist finds. it's amazingly curated and his spotted pup seals the deal.
